Nendoroid Pokemon Trainer N Review

Another month, another Nendoroid! This time I’m covering another Pokemon Center US release of fan-favorite Trainer N from Pokemon Black and White!

Kashu Kyomitsu Nendoroid Review

Yet another web game has taken the figure community by storm! Created by the same team behind the personified warship game popularly known as Kancolle, Touken Ranbu is a game about swords—swords who become bishounen through the power of the player. Part card collecting and part sheer luck, the game has hit just as hard as its predecessor Kancolle did, and that means more figures! And one of the first to come out is the subject for this month’s review: Nendoroid Kashu Kyomitsu!

When the Nendoroid release of Pokemon Trainer Red was first announced, the figure community exploded. The figure quickly sold out and resurfaced at prices asking for over one hundred dollars, showing just how much demand was out there for Pokemon figures in this style. And The Pokemon Company and GSC heard that loud and clear, announcing that more Pokemon Nendoroid were on the way! And not to be outdone by her predecessor, Nendoroid Pokemon Champion Cynthia aims to please!

Happy WonFes weekend everyone! If you follow Japanese figurine news, this weekend is the Summer Wonder Festival, where figure companies, manufacturers, and hobbyists who create garage kits put their new and upcoming products out for display to generate excitement from the collector community! So if your Twitter or Tumblr feeds have more pictures of Figmas, Nendoroids, and Alter scales than usual, that’s why!

Good Smile Company and Max Factory also sell and except pre-orders for event exclusive figures during WonFes, some of which only continue to be available at conventions. One such exclusive was actually sold first at Anime Expo this year, and I got one for my own collection!

Figma Vocaloid Kaito Review

Despite being a popular fixture in the Vocaloid fan community, there are not a lot of figures of Kaito to speak of outside of the various Nendoroids and garage kits. When a Figma was announced at Winter WonFest earlier this year, I was immediately excited. I love my Cheerful Nendoroid Version, but I was happy to see that he'd get a more articulated figure as well. When he finally got here, I couldn't wait to see how he'd turned out!
