That sound you hear is me sighing over this episode.
It has a cool concept and the opening was great--seeing the Object survive a nuclear blast is much better than just talking about it--but unfortunately the rest of the episode goes back to the typical light novel adaptation style of having characters stand around and talk about things everyone within earshot already knows in order to set up exposition.

Then the show suffocated it's main female character because boobs. Leave it to anime to set up an interesting alternate reality only to turn around and focus on how to make a sex joke.
The teaser for the next episode did look interesting, but I'm not sure I'll watch this all the way through now. This show reminded me more of God Eater, which is not a good comparison in my book.
