About

Hello, and welcome to my blog! I'm Confusedmuse, more commonly known as Muse, and I'm the Subdued Fangirl of Subdued Fangirling. I grew up with Pokemon and the like, and had an on-off relationship with anime until 2007, when I first saw one of my all-time-favorite anime, Princess Tutu. From there, I've seen a ton of shows and have yet to run out of things to watch. Why "Subdued Fangirling"? I don't really consider myself an otaku (at least not in the Japanese sense of the word), and I'm out of my fangirling phase, at least externally. A lot of it still happens, just mentally (or on my Twitter account). I'm a subdued fangirl, still crazy for anime.

On this blog, you'll find a range of articles from short first impressions and reviews of currently airing shows to figure reviews and longer editorial style posts. This blog was created for fun and to document my thoughts on anime and the fandom that surrounds it. I've met a lot of people thanks to this blog, and I love discussing my thoughts with others, so feel free to leave a comment! If you want to know more about the story of this blog, you can read my first anniversary post here.
