If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

If this season made anything clear, it's that Working'!! is perfectly content to keep doing what it's doing. People looking for something different from the first season will be disappointed with this second installment since it continues to build on the comedic situations where it left off without missing a beat. Fans looking for resolution to the romantic situations going on in the restaurant will also be disappointed, since this season adopts the Kimi ni Todoke stand of progressing without really resolving anything. But with all of that said, Working'!! (now with an apostrophe) manages to still be as charming at the first season by making it clear that it's really all about the situational comedy, not about advancing individual character's plotlines. To that end, even more characters are added to the mix this season, including Kyouko's juniors, Yamada's real(?) brother, and an appearance by Otoo's missing wife. The original cast is still as hilarious and endearing as ever, especially Yamada, who proves why she seems to be everyone's favorite character from the show by being consistently hilarious. If you're looking for a slightly more evolved version of the first season with character story progression, you won't find much of it here. But if you were charmed by the characters and the amusing setups and misunderstandings of the first season, then there's even more for you to love in this second season.
