This one seems a bit familiar…
The story follows a teenager who is going through specialized military training in order to defeat giant monsters who eat people. However, when the wall keeping the giant monsters away from the human population is breached, our hero puts his life in mortal danger and discovers that he has a rare transforming power.
Yeah, the first episode has the same broad brushstrokes as Attack on Titan. Obviously the details are different, but there’s almost no concrete answers in this episode so I didn’t notice much else. At least Attack on Titan was upfront with “we don’t know why the giant monsters attack and eat us” while this episode just has “monsters are bad” and not a lot else plot-wise.
The art style is pretty cool, although I’m half-expecting it to fall apart at any point due to the fact that this episode was delayed and the production seems to be having some issues. Thanks to all this, I’m a little hesitant about this series, but I’ll keep up with it for now.
This camera angle was absolutely necessary for establishing this character’s plot value |
