It looks like my bad feeling was right, but things didn't go as horribly as I expected. However, I still don't like Takako.
To be honest, I was expecting that the fallout from the movie would be something along the lines of portraying the inn and the workers in a bad light, but in retrospect a scam is much more plausible. There were no rhyme or reason to the film shoots, the real script never seemed to make an appearance, and it seemed like they were heavily relying on the "small roles" that the staff were performing (although the chase scene followed by Ohana and Yuina getting shot was hilariously over-the-top). Despite the fact that the inn was taken for a ride, this episode provided further character development for Enishi as he tries to become a good successor for the inn, although I think that he needs to learn that just because you like someone doesn't mean that every idea they come up with is good.
Of course, I'm talking about Takako. Although I did say in my last post that having a movie filmed at the inn was the best idea she's brought forward, I didn't like the way that she was all for everything that was going on and then tried to bail the moment things turned sour. Enishi does carry his share of the blame for rushing into the contract, but I think that we all know that if he hadn't gone through with it right away Takako would have complained about the inn wasting a good opportunity. They're both idiots in their own ways. However, despite my dislike of Takako, I found the confession scene pretty cute and think that they match pretty well with each other. I shudder to think of what she would do to the inn if she were manager, though. At least Ohana is shaping up to be a pretty good choice to be next in line.
