Nendoroid Kaito Cheerful JAPAN! Support Ver. Review

After the events of the the Kanto-Tohoku Earthquake in March of last year and its aftermath, many charity efforts were created to collect money to aid the victims of the disaster. One of these was Good Smile Company's Cheerful JAPAN! line, with pre-orders for figures running over the last year and part of the proceeds going to the areas where help is need. I love a good charity, so I couldn't resist getting at least one of them! So without further ado, here's Nendoroid Kaito, Cheerful JAPAN! Support Version!

Subdued Fangirling in the Aniblog Tourney!

Some of you probably already know this, either through Twitter or because you clicked that link above the poll, but I'd like to make an official announcement regardless: Subdued Fangirling is in the Aniblog Tourney!

This is the first big event that the blog has participated in, so I'm a little nervous. Last time the Tourney happened, I still wasn't sure if I wanted to start a anime blog. Things change fast, huh? Anyway, if you're completely new here and are just skimming through to decide who to vote for, feel free to use the tabs right under the banner for the About page and the Archive. The Archive is mostly organized by season and anime series, so you can see what I've covered in my 11 months of blogging. There's also the tag cloud to the right if you prefer.

Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) First Impressions--Making it Swing

If you've ever experienced playing or making music in your life, this show is a treat.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle 2 First Impressions--Puzzle Time

While the first season was a mix of funny and serious, the second season appears to be going for serious right off the bat... at least, right after our heroes are finished with their BBQ.

Medaka Box First Impressions--(Attempting) Perfection

There's one fundamental problem about focusing on a character that is perfect... Where is the conflict?

Title context! I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. Anyway, after a lackluster start, this is the show I've been looking forward to.

Fate/Zero 2 First Impressions--Monster Movie

In case there was any doubt, this show is still awesome.

Saki - Episode Side A First Impressions--Put Some Pants On

At first I wondered if I was just seeing wrong, but then the camera angles assured me that yes, I was supposed to be mentally debating whether one of the characters was wearing underwear or not.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle Final Thoughts--Heart of the Puzzles

The characters saved the puzzles, and the staff saved the show!

Polar Bear Cafe First Impressions--You Pass!

The standard by which all comedy slice-of-life shows will be judged hereafter.

Zetman First Impressions--HULK SMASH

While it wasn't the best first episode, it did its job in getting me interested.

Kimi to Boku. 2 Episode 1--CATS

They're still one of the best parts of this show.
